Specialty Papers are what we do.

There's nothing "standard" about our cigarette papers. We produce Specialty Papers and only Specialty Papers. It's all custom work, made from pulp derived from wood, flax or a blend of both, to the exact specifications of our customers. So cigarette designers can select for factors such as air permeability and basis weight, which influence a cigarette's inherent smoking characteristics.

Our research and product development capabilities, unsurpassed in the industry, have played an important role in establishing our reputation for high quality, superior products-all made to order, including Roll Your Own (RYO) papers. In addition, our collaborative approach in working closely with our customers-to accommodate their unique requirements and parameters-enables us to offer virtually unlimited choice, including:

• Pulp Type: Wood, flax, mixed pulp usage, including TCF (totally chlorine-free) capabilities.
• Permeability: Need a specific degree of permeability? We're glad you asked. We offer a full range of permeability from 15 to 120 Coresta (CU).
• Low Side Stream: We can also provide papers that minimize the smoke that comes off an un-puffed cigarette-a characteristic highly desired in certain markets.
• Perforation: Our electric perforation capability increases our permeability range to +250 CU.
• Visual Differentiation: We recognize the value of tailoring product offerings through the use of visual cues. That's why we present designers with a full range of interesting possibilities, so they can customize freely

  • Color.
  • Opacity of the paper (high opacity, ultra-bright white paper improves print logo clarity).
  • Ash appearance-from white to black.
  • Anti-spotting. Our patented High Opacity Anti-Spotting (HOPAS) process is ideal for high humidity climates.

Roll Your Own (RYO) Papers

As an important niche market within the tobacco industry, the demand for these specialized paper offerings is significant and allows us to take advantage of our ability to craft lightweight papers few suppliers can offer worldwide. In fact, we offer converters the industry's widest choice of transparent or light- and ultra-lightweight papers, with a wide range of basis weights from 12 gsm to 23 gsm. Our multiple fiber pulp offerings include 100% wood and 100% flax as well as a blend of both.

As with our machine-capable papers, we also provide important options to achieve product differentiation, including On-Line Marking (Velin, Verge and ATF), Off-Line Filigree (for logo reproduction), Off-Line Electric Perforation with all finished papers available in our customers' choice of either rolls, bobbins or reams, or even gummed bobbins.
