We extrude films from a variety of PU’s, polymers and blends for a diverse array of medical applications outside the wound care market. We have strong, thicker, durable, puncture-resistant and air-holding films for inflatables, and unsupported blown aromatic films with excellent heat sealing and thermo-formable properties. Whether you need a strong polyurethane film for a hospital mattress cover, blood pressure cuffs or for the manufacturing of repositioning sheets to move patients comfortably without touching them or you would like to make a sheath to protect a catheter or probe, SWM will be able to assist.
We also have a range of fabric tapes for the manufacturing of ostomy flanges offered with different adhesive coatings to ensure the right fixation strength and confidence to the wearer.
And, last but not least, we extrude apertured films or nets (meshes) of different polymers that are used as substrates for medical tapes, non-adherent wound contact layers, a flexible and easy applicable carrier strip for teeth whitening strips or nasal strips, handles to facilitate the positioning of wound dressings or surgical drapes, barrier layers for facemasks or odor filters in ostomy bags (prevents liquids from wicking through, but allows air or gases to pass through).
