Manufacturers use SWM netting in flooring underlayment and radiant floor projects. Durable and long-lasting, our netting is designed to replace traditional, more expensive metal lath used in flooring (especially for tile underlayment). Unlike metal lath, plastic lath does not have sharp corners and edges that will cut or tear. Made from a polyolefin base, our plastic netting lath can be easily trimmed to fit into any shaped space and will not rust. SWM plastic netting lath works with electric and hot water radiant floor heating systems.

Insulation can be installed or blown in and contained securely in place by tacking our netting to structure studs or under floor joists. Using our netting components under joists in decks and other outdoor buildings can also prevent unwanted animals from building nests or destroying structures.

In other words, it is the first line of protection against the effects of moisture on the wall detail. SWM netting can be used as the element that provides essential water channeling and gapping to the entire wall system.

Synthetic roofing underlayment materials are a competitive alternative to traditional materials like tar papers. Tar papers are often smoother, creating a slippery and potentially dangerous surface for installers. SWM netting, on the other hand, can be designed with thick nodes on one side to create a superior anti-slip surface and a built-in adhesive in the netting configuration to facilitate thermal lamination with other substrates.
