Reverse Osmosis is a critical part of the world's water supply. You can trust SWM to provide the highest quality material solutions for RO and filtration applications.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a critical part of the world’s water supply, and for most RO plants, the key word is energy. Given the tremendous volume of water processed by RO plants, as well as the extremely high energy costs, even small improvements in efficiency can translate into large savings or increased product water output. You can trust SWM to provide the highest quality media options to minimize pressure drop, biofouling, and overall energy needs. The SWM feed spacers, membrane backing substrates, permeate core tubes, and machined parts work together to provide energy savings for spiral wound membrane producers.
Almost 1 billion people will not have access to drinkable water by 2025. SWM supports the global water filtration industry by providing a full range of media including the most innovative feed spacers, membrane backing papers, permeate core tubes, and custom CNC-machined parts. SWM supports RO customers far and wide by providing the most innovative products for feed spacers and core tubes. We manufacture a full line of custom designed mesh and scrim with varying sizes resins and flow. Producers of spiral wound membranes trust SWM to provide high quality specialty materials for reverse osmosis and other filtration applications:

Revonex™ Membrane Backing Paper is a membrane support substrate that features a unique set of material properties designed to improve runnability in the membrane casting process. Revonex overcomes many of the common issues experienced in the casting process, including lower production yield due to substrate defects, varying final membrane efficiency caused by bleed-through front pinholes, scrape generated from substrate edge curling under high tension, and frequent down time from short-length roll changeovers. Revonex is highly engineered, wet laid synthetic support for casting RO membranes. Each roll has a lay flat, smooth surface that is resistant to curling and does not cause membrane pin holes. Each roll is stringently tested to ensure a high level of consistency, leading to excellent adhesion and overall superior runnability. Extended roll lengths are available to minimize changeovers, thereby improving production efficiency.
Naltex™ Feed Spacers, a bi-planar mesh with thermally bonded strand intersections, is the most widely utilized net in the filtration industry for feed spacers. Specialized engineering-grade Naltex nets have unmatched performance in high-end filtration systems. Our premier line of Naltex Feed Spacers support and protect thin film composite (TFC) membranes in RO spiral wound element filters. Filtration manufacturers around the world seeking high performance feed spacers turn to our full line of custom designed diamond netting with varying geometries, specialty resins and optimal flow characteristics. Naltex Feed Spacers are used in nearly all TFC membrane filtration applications, ranging from HRO to municipal water and industrial process filtration.
Coretec™ Permeate Tubes include a wide range of high-performance components, made from advanced engineering-grade resins and stainless steel. Our filtration products include center tubes for reverse-osmosis water filters, feed spacers, cores, pressure vessels, machined parts, adapters. and interconnectors. Coretec high performance permeate tubes are made from engineering grade resins and are custom designed to deliver unmatched performance and quality. Coretec permeate tubes are used in a wide variety of spiral wound membrane filters ranging from small HRO products up to large volume municipal and industrial membrane systems used in water and process filtration applications.
Coretec™ Machined Parts are made from engineering grade materials and are custom designed to deliver unmatched performance and quality. Uses include a wide variety of spiral wound membrane filters ranging from small HRO to large volume municipal and industrial membranes for both water and process filtration applications.
