Elastomeric Netting

The ultimate stretch engine for hygiene, apparel and disposable applications.

About Elastomeric Square Netting

Products needing flexibility, extensibility, breathability, recovery and fitting capabilities rely on our elastomeric or elastic netting to build superior elastic composites.

SWM manufactures and commercializes Conwed Elastic Square Netting (formerly known as Rebound), the ultimate stretch engine material for a wide range of product applications.  It is an ideal alternative to other stretch materials such as films, spandex and stretchable nonwovens.  From adult incontinence underwear and training pants to therapeutic wraps, bandages and wipes, Conwed netting plays an essential role in elastic, and moisture management performance.

Conwed Elastomeric Netting

Compared to other stretchable materials, such as spandex, films and stretchable nonwovens, our elastomeric netting can be designed with stretchability features in one or both directions of the web.

Offering customized hysteresis, breathability and moisture management performance, our elastomeric netting can be used in hygiene, apparel, medical and wound care products.  Contact our team at ams@swmintl.com and let us collaborate on your next product innovation.

Conwed™ with Bi-Directional Elasticity

Conwed™ with bi-directional elasticity is the standard elastomeric netting. It has an elastomer formulation in both directions of the web (MD & CD). SWM can tailor the strand count, hole size, weight, thickness and hysteresis performance to meet customer requirements.

Conwed™ with Uni-Directional Elasticity

Conwed™ with uni-directional elasticity, a more elaborate product, is a web design with an elastomeric material in one direction and another polymer in the opposite direction. SWM can tailor the strand count, hole size, weight, thickness and hysteresis performance to meet customer requirements.

Conwed™ for Hygiene Applications

Our Conwed™ elastomeric netting (formerly known as Rebound) is the ultimate stretch engine for elastic composites used in adult incontinence briefs and underwear, and in baby training pants. Typical applications include elastic waistbands and side panels which are usually composites made with lightweight nonwovens.
