At SWM International, innovation and customer-focused solutions are at the heart of what we do. Our Interlayer Spunlace Paper (ISP) acts as a high-performance base material for the non-wovens industry, combining reliability with versatility.
Now, our Saint-Girons paper mill in France is enhancing this offering with the ability to produce colored ISP, expanding opportunities for customers who seek both functionality and distinctive product differentiation.
Designed with a broad grammage range from 22 to 60 g/m², 100% NBSK made, our ISP is fully recyclable and compatible with hydroentanglement processes and works seamlessly with staple fibers, carded pulp, and carded tissue non-wovens. It offers adaptability with roll widths up to 3500 mm and the flexibility to be produced on inclined or flat wire machines. This scalability allows manufacturers to tailor their products across diverse applications, from lightweight specialty uses to robust industrial solutions.
The addition of customized color options in Saint-Girons further underscores our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the market. Whether for functional purposes, aesthetic appeal, or brand differentiation, colored ISP provides manufacturers with a new layer of design without compromising on performance.
With its unique combination of performance, versatility, and customization, SWM International’s ISP continues to expand the future of nonwoven innovation. The new non-bleeding turquoise grade, developed in Saint-Girons, France, demonstrates how colored spunlace can be achieved directly—without additional production steps—offering customers both functional and aesthetic value
